Job Description

Michaels Audio & Video is an AV and Security solutions provider. Led by a team of experienced professionals in the AV and Security industry, we work closely with the industry’s top brands, to deliver cutting-edge integrated solutions for video, audio, lighting control, content management, networking; plus whole-home automation.

We are currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a Sales Associate in our local showroom. You will engage and sell to customers, in the showroom, and by outbound and inbound calling.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize leads, market research and business contacts to seek out new customer opportunities in assigned market

  • Identify, promote and engage in appropriate training opportunities relative to business and product knowledge and enhancements

  • Facilitate growth and development of existing customers

  • Expose customers to marketing materials and deliver product demonstrations

  • Communicate promotions and training opportunities which are relevant to his/her needs

  • Collect potential new customers and forward to Manager for review

  • Identify potential best existing business opportunities

  • Support account managers, as necessary

  • Conduct outbound calls to assigned, existing customers for promotional activities, training information and/or order status/pick-up

  • Maintain updated knowledge of product lines and pricing

  • Provide office support, such as loading and unloading trucks, when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Proven sales experience

  • Experience working in the Consumer Electronics industry

  • Strong phone presence and experience outbound calling

  • Experience working with CRM/ERP Systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Strong listening and presentation skills

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

  • Solution selling

  • Ability to develop/manage strong customer relationships via the telephone and in person is critical
