The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for daily front of house operation for all food and beverage operations at Granby Ranch including table service restaurant, bistro/bar, ski area dining hall, to go for all outlets, outdoor food stations, weddings and events.
• Responsible for all front of house operations for Granby Ranch food and beverage department including ski area dining, sit down restaurant, apres ski bistro/bar, to-go operations related to all of outlets, outdoor food station set up and execution, special events, and weddings and banquets.
• Maintain proper scheduling for front of the house staff in the current time management system including review and approval all schedules, time off requests, and shift changes for the team.
• Responsible for bar inventory, bar menu development and ordering products within budgeted guidelines.
• Oversee & execute staff training.
• Responsible for daily opening and closing procedures for operation including cash drawer check out and check in, closing of registers and submission of daily revenue packet to accounting.
• Establish professional relationships with vendors and submit timely invoices.
• Work all front of house positions as needed and provide leadership on the floor during high volume periods.
• Utilizes interpersonal & communication skills to lead, influence & encourage others.
• Demonstrates sound financial/business decision making.
• Perform bar inventory, ordering, and budgeting liquor.
• Experience in creating hand crafted cocktails.
• Knowledge of cost control procedures.
• Oversee & execute staff training.
• Strong team player, who is willing to ensure tasks are done correctly and efficiently
• Maintain bar staffing schedule
• Liaise with suppliers and sales representatives

• Establish and maintain positive, professional working relationships with all levels of company
• Proficient banquet background to execute summer weddings & corporate events up to 200 people.
• Enforce proper cleaning procedures and maintain an impeccably clean and orderly restaurant.
• Maintain working knowledge of State of Colorado health codes, food safety laws and liquor codes, COVID-19 protocols, and ensure/enforce standards are met.
• Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.
• Maintain wine and beverage list, conducting tastings and other training sessions for the team.
• Give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.

• Attend and contribute in weekly staff meetings.
• Communicate and work with other departmental team members for effective execution of special events, parties, weddings and onsite events
• Contact and maintain positive relationships with vendors and sponsors for promotions and donations.
• Maintain knowledge of local competition and general industry trends and standards
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ability to assist/work in any area of the front of house food and beverage operation as needed.
• Ability to maintain a friendly, professional and helpful attitude to all guests and fellow employees.
• Ability to work well under pressure and high stress situations.
• Willing, dependable and able to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.

• College degree or equivalent experience in food and beverage industry required.
• Minimum (4) yrs experience in Restaurant Manager role required.
• Experience in ski industry preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid drivers license.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft programs including, Word and Excel.
• Must have experience working in food ordering systems and payroll systems
• Experience working within a budget.
• Primarily indoor work in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
• Some outdoor work to service the patio in a mountain environment with variable weather conditions.
• Availability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Some 50+ hour work weeks, particularly during holiday periods.
• Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift.
• Must be able to lift and carry thirty (30) pounds or more.
• Dexterity to use keyboard, knifes and other kitchen equipment.
• Standing, Walking, Bending, Carrying, Lifting, Reaching.
