Habitat for Humanity of Grand County believes that all families need a safe, decent, affordable home in which to live and raise their children. Our goal is to build a base of affordable housing in Grand County that remains affordable for the long term.
Habitat relies on the labor of volunteers and donations of labor and materials to build houses for low income families in Grand County – families at or below 80% of the area median income. We welcome all people to join us in the work of providing affordable housing in Grand County.
Habitat provides a hand up, not a hand out, to our families. Habitat families work side-by-side with Habitat volunteers to build their houses. When the house is completed, Habitat sells the house to the family at cost and with a monthly payment that is affordable for the family.
A world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Our Mission Statement
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
About Habitat for Humanity of Grand County
Habitat for Humanity of Grand County is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.
