Reproductive Health Community Engagement Intern

Position Information:
Department: Public Health
Located in Hot Sulphur Springs, CO
Variable Hours Position (15-35 hrs. per week). Weekdays are flexible, but may include some evening and weekends at community
events with advance notice.
Pay range: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour (hiring rate DOQE)
Position Duties:
• Will work primarily with the medical provider, focusing on reproductive health services.
• Outreach involvement (via special events, social marketing).
• Will be discussing sexual and reproductive health issues with our community to promote awareness and access to our services.
• Develop educational and marketing materials.
• Provide basic health education on sexual and reproductive health topics.
• Assist in working with Spanish-speaking individuals/community members.
• Assist with point-of-care testing and clinic tasks as assigned.
• Attend meeting with nonprofit partners and other community stakeholders.
Position Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must understand and adhere to patient confidentiality – training will be provided.
• Must have good communication skills and social media expertise.
• Fluent in Spanish, both written and spoken, preferred.
• Should be interested in serving people of all backgrounds with respect for diverse perspectives.
• Will need independent transportation.
• Ability to lift and carry 25+ pounds.
• Must be able to attend outdoor events in unpredictable weather conditions.
