YMCA of the Rockies at Snow Mountain Ranch

Do you thrive in fast-paced environments, love building community, and enjoy creating spaces where people feel supported and connected? Join the team at Snow Mountain Ranch and help shape the staff experience in the heart of the Colorado Rockies.

As the Resident Manager, you’ll do more than oversee housing operations — you’ll create a welcoming, engaging, and supportive community for seasonal and year-round staff from around the world. From planning staff events and leading Resident Assistants to coordinating housing logistics and responding to daily needs, this role is ideal for someone who leads with energy, organization, and heart.

Whether you’re organizing a staff bonfire, helping new employees settle into mountain life, or ensuring housing spaces are clean and ready for arrivals, your work will directly impact the experience of the people who make Snow Mountain Ranch unforgettable.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support Resident Assistants through training, coaching, scheduling, and accountability
  • Oversee all staff housing operations including assignments, move-ins, inspections, transitions, and move-outs
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive community atmosphere for staff
  • Plan and facilitate staff events, activities, and engagement programs
  • Maintain clean, safe, organized, and functional housing spaces
  • Coordinate maintenance requests and housing readiness
  • Maintain strong communication with staff through newsletters, announcements, and daily interactions
  • Respond professionally to housing concerns, incidents, and emergencies
  • Maintain a visible presence in staff housing and community events
  • Support retention and staff morale through intentional programming and relationship-building

What Makes This Role Unique

  • Live and work in the Colorado Rockies
  • Build meaningful relationships with staff from diverse backgrounds
  • Blend hospitality, leadership, event planning, and community engagement into one dynamic role
  • Be part of a mission-driven organization focused on youth development, healthy living, and community impact
  • Spend your free time hiking, skiing, fishing, exploring Rocky Mountain National Park, and enjoying mountain life

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is

  • Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • A confident communicator who enjoys working with people
  • Calm and professional in high-pressure situations
  • Passionate about creating positive experiences and strong community culture
  • Experienced in housing, hospitality, staff operations, event planning, or leadership roles preferred

Perks & Benefits

  • Health, dental, and life insurance
  • Generous PTO/Vacation
  • YMCA Retirement Fund contribution after 2 years
  • Employer-owned nearby housing may be available
  • Free YMCA membership
  • Discounted childcare and camps
  • Discounted lodge stays for friends & family
  • Ski passes to nearby resorts
  • Free or discounted outdoor gear rentals

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to live on grounds
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying mountain conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed

Why Snow Mountain Ranch?

At Snow Mountain Ranch, work is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to build community, grow personally and professionally, and help create meaningful experiences in one of Colorado’s most beautiful mountain settings. If you’re ready to lead with purpose and create a positive staff experience from arrival to departure, we’d love to meet you.
