Take Adventure to New Heights

Rocks & Ropes Facilitator | YMCA of the Rockies

Do you love being active, working with people, and helping others push past their comfort zones? Are you energized by fresh air, big views, and meaningful work? If so, the Rocks & Ropes Facilitator role at YMCA of the Rockies might be your perfect next adventure.

Under the direction of our Adventure Director, you’ll help create unforgettable, confidence-building experiences on climbing walls, high and low ropes courses, and our Aerial Challenge Course—all while living out the YMCA mission of building healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate indoor and outdoor climbing wall sessions
  • Lead guests through high ropes, low ropes, and aerial challenge courses
  • Welcome and assist guests of all ages and backgrounds
  • Answer questions and help guests enroll in adventure programs
  • Support program development and continuous improvement
  • Promote safety, encouragement, and fun at every height
  • Be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team

Who You Are

  • Comfortable working at heights up to 60 feet
  • Friendly, patient, and confident working with people
  • Calm under pressure and committed to safety
  • Aligned with YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Faith
  • Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Previous facilitation or adventure experience is a plus!

The Adventure Perks

  • Work in a stunning mountain environment
  • Build leadership, facilitation, and outdoor skills
  • Make a real impact on guests, families, and groups
  • Be part of a welcoming, purpose-driven community
  • Every day is active, different, and rewarding

If you’re ready to challenge yourself, support others, and turn adventure into impact, we’d love to have you on our team.

Come help guests climb higher—physically, mentally, and spiritually.
