Winter Park Water & Sanitation District is accepting applications for a full-time, year-round Water/Wastewater Operator/Laborer. Wage starts at $28/hour, depending on experience and certification. This is an entry-level position with an excellent benefit package including medical insurance, retirement, and vacation time. Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license, a valid social security number, have a high school diploma/GED, basic computer skills, willingness to work outside, and ability to lift heavy objects. Must pass a background check and be insurable under the District’s policy. An understanding of basic math is beneficial; however, training will be provided. Water and/or wastewater certification is desirable; however, coursework can be completed and exams taken for the certifications, with pay increases for each successful certification level. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as the District’s collection and distribution systems. Some weekends, holidays, and on-call duty required.
