Grand County 2026 Summer Internship Program
Join our team! Grand County is offering several paid intern opportunities for the 2026 summer season, providing students with hands-on experience in public service.
Program Highlights
- Pay rate: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour (based on job and education level).
- Duration: Approximately May through August.
- Eligibility: Open to high school and college students (unless otherwise noted).
- Flexibility: Many positions offer flexible scheduling to accommodate student needs.
- Experience: All interns must give an end-of-season presentation to the Board of County Commissioners.
Open Opportunities

| Coroner | Scene investigation, forensic records, and autopsy observation. |
| Extension (4H) | Youth development and summer day camp coordination. |
| Extension (Fair and Community Gardens) | Event coordination and community garden support. |
| Fairgrounds | Facilities maintenance and agricultural event setup. |
| GIS | Field inventory and mapping, using ArcGIS applications. |
| Information Systems | Network equipment installation and IT infrastructure. |
| Maintenance | Landscaping, planting, and manicuring county grounds. |

| Water Resources | Data analysis and stakeholder engagement for the Colorado River. |
